11 months and counting

Hard to believe Jayce is 11 months old and counting. His 1st birthday is just around the corner. We will have a little birthday party with some of our friends and family. Jayce is sleeping really well at night. He goes to bed around 7:45pm and usually sleeps until about 6:45am. Jayce is starting to be very difficult when we change his diaper and put his pj's on. But once we give him his bottle he is out for the night. He has 7 teeth, and will probably be cutting some more any day now. Although it is usually delayed, he can wave and clap his hands. He is starting to copy what we say sometimes. I think he can say cat, dog, mom, dad, and utt ohh. He eats a lot, but can sometimes be very difficult to feed. He really only wants things that he can feed himself. He loves the Yobaby Yogurt, puffs, cut up carrots, green beans, crackers, gold fish, cheese etc..... Jayce is also doing awesome with his sippy cup. It took awhile but he finally figured out how to use it all by himself. We are really only giving him 2 bottles a day, the rest he gets in his sippy cup. I think this week we will start to slowly introduce milk to him. I don't think he will have a problem transitioning, but I guess you never know. Jayce loves cruising all the furniture and walking along anything and everything. I think he is starting to get more confidence. I think he will be walking in the next month or so. He is a little front heavy with his Buddha belly. =) Jayce is so cute when he smiles and laughs. He is definitely figuring things out, and gets mad when he can't do things.

Well we will keep posting blogs and pictures to keep everyone update.

Mr. Active (aka Jayce)

As I have said before, Jayce is into everything!!! He is a very busy little boy. He likes to get into everything he shouldn't. Once he finds things, he just keeps going back to it. We are very excited but scared for him to start walking soon.

Jayce Laughing....

Jayce - 10 months and counting

Jayce is feeling much better, and is almost back to normal. He is sleeping through the night again, thank God. He only coughs every once in awhile. Jayce is 10 months and counting. It is so hard to believe Jayce and Rylee are going to be a year old next month (April 26th). Jayce makes us laugh everyday, he is always doing something new. He can say Mama, Dada, dog, and utt ohh. We don't think he knows what he is saying, but he is trying to copy us. The other night he fell asleep several times sitting up in his crib, kind of resting against the crib rails. It was so funny. I had to go in a tip him over. He would just wake up and fall asleep sitting up again. Then the next day he took a whole hour and half nap sitting up.
Look at all my teeth.... 7 teeth

Sick Baby

Well, I had to stay home with our little man Tuesday - Friday because he has been sick. Jayce is normally a pretty pleasant child to be around, but not so much the last week. He has another tooth coming in (bottom second on the right), has a bad cough, fever, and sore throat... He has been waking up about every 1/2 to hour every night all night long for the last week. He is even throwing fits and screaming for hours at night. Pat and I are absolutely exhausted and are getting pretty frustrated at this point. We feel so bad that he is sick and doesn't feel well, and mad that there isn't much we can do for him. We took him to the doctor on Thursday. They tested him for RSV, Influenza, Ear Infections... all that came back negative. They said he just has a virus, and needs to let it take its course. All Jayce does is sleep and cry all day long. So all I do is hold him, feed him, and let him sleep. God forbid I put him down for a few minutes, he just fallows me around wining and crying at my feet. After several days with high fevers and everything else, we decide to take him in to the doctor again on Saturday morning. Of course we just have to see what ever doctor is on call, so we have to re-explain everything to them. This doctor, says the same thing, it's just a virus. But she did prescribe and nebulizer to help with his breathing. So we've been trying to give him the breathing treatments every 4 hours, except at night. I think they have helped. Sunday Jayce seemed to be doing better, he had a little bit more energy, no fever. Last night was pretty bad. We put him t bed at 7:45 and he was up and screaming by 9:45... He cried and screamed until about 1:00am when he finally cried himself to sleep. After trying for hours to rock him, and comfort him we finally put him in his crib and let him cry. It was so hard. I think we maybe got a couple hours of sleep.

This morning I decided we had to try and go to work and take him to daycare.. So that is what we did. He is definitely getting better, but nights seem to be bad for him. We will see if I have to pick him up from daycare early or not today????
