Jayce took his first steps!

Jayce has been trying to take some steps the last week or so, but he just falls down. Last night he took real steps several times. He was able to take about 4 steps before he would fall or sit down. I will take try and take a video tonight, so I can post it tomorrow. I am such a proud mom!

Jayce's 1st Birthday!

Jayce had the best Birthday Weekend we could ever imagine. It was awesome to have my Dad, Mandy, Halle, and Gunnar here for the weekend. Even though we got about 6” + of snow on Friday, we had about the best weather we could ask for on Saturday. Most of the snow melted, the ground dried up quite a bit, it was bright blue and sunny skies, and fairly decent temperature considering….. We had about 30 people come to Jayce’s birthday party, and we all had a great time. Jayce was kind of funny; he didn’t like his cake AT ALL. He cried and spit the cake out of his mouth. Jayce got all sorts of very nice gifts from friends and family. He got several cool toys, and lots of new clothes which he needed. We also took the kids to the Hot Springs on Sunday. We had so much fun, and they loved the warm water. It just re-opened after the building halfway burned down from a fire last year. It was sad to say good bye to my family this morning, but it was great to have them here. We are all exhausted, but it was worth every bit of it.

Thanks to everyone for helping make Jayce’s 1st Birthday one to remember. We are so thankful to have such great friends and family.

Jayce stood all by himself

Jayce stood all by himself, not holding onto anything for about 30-45 seconds on Thursday night. He can do it, but as soon as he realizes what he is doing, he panics. I don't think it will be long before he is on the move. I know not that big of a deal, but when it's your own kid, every little accomplishment is really neat.

Tooth #8 coming in

Jayce is cutting another tooth. It is his 4 tooth on the bottom. It's amazing how they just appear one day. This will make 4 on top and 4 on bottom. Not to bad for under a year old.
