Going into Labor/Delivery

On April 25, I had gone to work it was a friday, and felt fine. I never thought I would go into labor that night. Pat and I had spicy tacos for dinner and we are convinced that it helped me go into labor. I started having contraction about 8pm, and knew they were different then the Baxton Hicks that I had been having most of my pregnancy. They were in my back. I got up quietly and went up stairs to pack my hospital bags, because I hadn't done that yet. My contractions come fast and furious. They were about 2-3 apart and very painful. We headed to the hospital around 11:30pm. When we arrived I was only 1cm dilated. I was able to take a hot bath and when I got out I had progress to about 4cm. That's when they told me I was in active labor. I got and epidural at 2:30am and dilated about 2cm and hour. I was 10cm dilated by 5:30 am and was ready to push. My water never broke. So they had to break it for me. I had Jayce @ 7:56AM. Over all I had a great pregnancy and delivery. Patrick was and has been very supportive and helpful throughout, I don't know what I would have done without him. We can't believe Jayce is finally here.

Baby's Room

Jayce's Room is pretty much ready for his arrival. Patrick painted the room while I was out of town. He did such a great job. We have chosen a bright baby blue color for the walls. His bedding is a modern dot concept in white, tans, blue and chocolate.

Patrick and I had our ultrasound at 19 1/2 weeks. We were so excited to find out we were having a baby boy. It was so cool to know, we could focus on the baby's room and picking a name. We were lucky to find out just in time for our Christmas trip home to Washington.

It's a BOY!!!
