A couple of weeks ago, Jayce started to show more interest in feed himself with utensils. He has been feeding himself with his hands for 4 months or so, but didn't quite know what to do with spoons or forks. This is a video of Jayce trying to feed himself. He actually does pretty well with things that he can stab with the fork. We are not sure which hand he favors, because he really uses both. He tends to hold the spoon or fork in his right hand, but usually feeds himself with the left. As most of you know Patrick is Left Handed and very proud of it. He would really think it was cool if Jayce was a lefty. I guess we will have to wait and find out. Enjoy the video!!

We hiked the "M" on the 4th of July
We decided to hike the "M" on the 4th of July. It was pretty warm, but a storm was blowing in. Thankfully the breeze kept us from melting. We borrowed a Backpack Carrier from Michelle, and it worked GREAT! Jayce seemed to love being higher and being able to see everything. Pat was the ambitious one and carried Jayce the whole way. Its not a super difficult hike, but it isn't easy either. Its about 1 3/4 mile hike each way. I hope you all enjoy the pictures.

Johanson Visit June 09
We have had a very eventful last couple of weeks, that couldn't have been any better. Pat's brother Eric, wife Amy, nephew Grant and niece Rylee June 23rd in the evening. Jayce and Rylee were coincidentally born on the same day. drove all the way from Lodi, California through the night w/2 kids towing a huge Camper Toy Trailer. We drove down to West Yellowstone on Wed night and camped out, got up early for a nice drive through the park. We saw bison, a wolf, elk, and some mountain goats. We stopped at some of the different geysers and boardwalks, and went to see Old Faithful. Pat's parents Dave and Patty and Popo arrived Friday afternoon June 26th. Nana and Papa were able to get in a lot of babysitting the last week. They watched the kids so that Pat, Eric, Amy, and myself could go out to a nice dinner together. They also watched the kids so we could go up in the woods to play on the dirt bikes and 4-wheeler. The boys were also able to enjoy a nice Par 3 Golf match. The weather has been absolutely beautiful here the last week and a half. We have been in the 80's and even hit 90 a couple of days. We were sad to see Eric, Amy, Grant and Rylee leave on Monday, but they made it home safely. Dave, Patty and Popo leave on the 3rd. We have really enjoyed spending time with everyone and are happy Jayce gets to see the family. We will try and post some videos once we figure out how to use our new Camcorder we got.
