Becoming a mom is something that no one can explain to you or that you can prepare for. The last 10 weeks have been the best. You suddenly have an energy to take care of this little person. Jayce was really fussy for the first month. He was cranky during the day and would sometimes cry for what seemed like forever..... But he always was a good sleeper at night right from the get go. We have enjoyed a lot of company and friends the last couple of months. We feel so lucky to have such a loving family and close friends to share this with. Once we changed Jayce to a special formula and some medicine, he quickly got less and less fussy. By about 6 weeks old he seemed much happier. He started cooing and smiling. It is the sweetest thing to watch him smile and be happy. I love getting up to feed him at night because I already miss him. At 10 weeks we are lucky to have a pretty good schedule started with him. We have been putting him to bed around 9:30pm and we only have to get up once to feed him around 3:30. He is usually ready to get up around 7am. I feel so lucky to have him in my life. I can't even imagine life without him. He is my best buddy!
I feel really lucky to have such a wonderful husband. Pat has been the best dad ever. He was helpful and supportive throughout my pregnancy, delivery and taking care of Jayce. It is so awesome to watch Pat and Jayce interact. I couldn't do it with out him.
