Jayce 4 month check-up

We had Jayce's 4 month check-up this morning, and everything went well. As we already knew, Jayce is a little on the heavy side. He weighed in at 15lbs 3oz. He has already doubled his birth weight, which they like to see by 6 months. Our Doctor Tracy Fairbanks thought he was very healthy and right on track with his skills, if not a little ahead. She was impressed by how strong he is and how well he can hold his body and head while standing and laying on his tummy. Of course our doctor and nurse kept saying how cute he is, but we already knew that. He was 24 ½" long. He is between the 50th and 75th percentile in weight and between 25th and 50th percentile for height and head circumference. He loves to roll over from his back to tummy, and he recently discovered his feet. He loves to hold his feet and pretty soon he will probably be sucking on them. He eats about 6 times a day and he polishes off 6oz each bottle. He really seems to like his blankets; he gets that from his mom! He has also started to rub his eyes, which is his que telling us it's time for a nap. We have a feeling that he will be teething anytime, if he isn't already. Everyday Pat and I are amazed at how fast he is growing and watching him learn new things. He has the most precious smile; it's almost ear to ear. He has really started to giggle a lot too. If we laugh, he will mimic us and laugh too. He is a good baby at night; he sleeps from about 9pm-7am. But usually comes and snuggles in our bed from 5-7am. He seems to be doing great at daycare, he is always happy when we pick him up. It is amazing how fast they change. He went from helpless a few short weeks ago to become this little person with a personality and strength to hold himself. What a blessing children are.
